What are project-based switchboards?
In order for the definition “Project-based switchboards” adopted to identify a particular category of switchboards to be clear, here is some simple information.

At Secsun, we produce project-based switchboards through the cooperation of skilled technicians, who constantly participate in training and refresher courses.

Functionality and security
First of all, it should be kept in mind that any switchboard must always have two essential characteristics: it must be functional and it must be safe.
These characteristics are achieved by developing an appropriate design phase, prior to its implementation,
The design of the electrical panel is therefore extremely important, because it must take into account on the one hand the needs of the system in which it will be inserted, and on the other hand the current regulatory and legislative requirements.
The care with which these two essential aspects are taken makes it possible to produce the highest quality switchboards.
Here is who carried out the design
At this point, in order to understand the definition of project-based switchboards, it may be helpful to know the operator figures that are involved in the design activity. They are: the developer, the designer, the manufacturer, the installer, the verifier, the user, and the maintainer.
It must be known that each of these figures, while working individually to achieve his or her own end, must be able to interact effectively with all the others so that all necessary documentation for the design, construction, verification and commissioning of electrical panels is properly drawn up and used.
This documentation consists of at least: panel front, schematics, input data, declarations of conformity, design checks, over-temperature calculations, testing, and instructions for commissioning and proper maintenance.
Let us now add that, for the purpose of creating the overall electrical system, two designers can be defined: the system designer and the panel designer.
In addition, two types of figures are identified for the purposes of the framework, that of the builder and that of the original builder.
Here is an explanatory example
The installer generally makes and customizes small boards directly on site. Therefore it also becomes the builder of the picture. CEI 23-51 standard allows medium-sized utilities, including three-phase, to be covered up to 125A and 400V.
In this case, the figure of the framework builder and that of the original builder do not coincide.
If, on the other hand, the entire installation is designed by a professional technician, he or she is also responsible, based on the client’s instructions, for all aspects of switchboard design, including dimensions, logistics related to transportation, handling, and fastening. In practice, the system designer is responsible for the proper integration of the switchboard, understood as enclosed equipment, within the environment and the user electrical system.
These are the frameworks made by design, in which the figure of the framework builder and that of the original builder, coincide.
The manufacturer in this case must take charge of all checks and guarantees on the proper functioning of the switchboard.
At Secsun, we offer the highest guarantee of quality and efficiency of project-made switchboards.
